Manufacturer's warranty
General
Our products are made from high-quality materials such as aluminum, genuine leather, and other select components. Despite strict quality controls and testing, we cannot rule out the possibility of production errors in individual cases.
EB Essentialbag GmbH, Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 3, 55218 Ingelheim am Main, grants consumers a voluntary manufacturer's warranty under the following conditions. This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, the statutory warranty rights to which the consumer is entitled against the seller.
For the purposes of this guarantee, a consumer is any natural person who owns the product and does not resell it commercially or professionally.
Warranty scope
The warranty applies to all products purchased within the EU from 12.04.2021 onwards, for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
Under this guarantee, we will rectify demonstrable manufacturing defects through free replacement. Should the button on your smart wallet be defective, we will send you a replacement button free of charge for you to repair yourself. We will also replace the product in the case of genuine material or manufacturing defects, such as faulty stitching in the leather.
The prerequisite is proper use of the product and immediate notification of the defect directly after its discovery. Reports made months after discovery may be excluded from the warranty.
A product can only be returned once per order. Duplicate returns for the same item from the same order without a new explanation or photographic evidence will not be processed.
Essentialbag reserves the right to offer a partial or full refund as an alternative. This is a voluntary service and not legally enforceable.
Cases excluded from the warranty
- Goodwill or gift items without any return service (e.g. free products or promotional gifts)
- Products whose purchase date is more than 12 months ago
- Products purchased through third-party providers
- Misuse, improper use, or intentional damage
"Replacement for replacement" arrangement
A replacement product can only be replaced again if the first defect was reported within six months of the original purchase date and the defect resulted in a genuine loss of ordered individual items (e.g., in the case of sets).
Assertion of the warranty claim
Please use our [contact form/email address] for your complaint. Contact form and attach a photo of the defect as well as your order number.
For gifts, we require the original order details of the donor (order number, name, email address and delivery address) in order to claim the guarantee.
Clear photographic evidence is mandatory. The product, the color, and the defect must be clearly visible.
Legal rights according to § 477 BGB
Regardless of this guarantee, your statutory warranty rights against the seller remain fully in effect. Therefore, you can assert your rights under § 437 of the German Civil Code (BGB) even without making a claim under this guarantee.
Disclaimer andStatute of limitations
This warranty does not cover consequential damages or other claims for compensation. Exceptions apply only where mandatory legal provisions apply (e.g., product liability).
Warranty claims must be made immediately, but no later than two months after discovery of the defect. The limitation period is 12 months after the end of the warranty period.
